Hello Fall

The first day of Fall is tomorrow!

Hard to believe it’s already here, right? Although I am a Summer girl at heart, I do love the Autumn season, especially when all my favorites start arriving. Pumpkin spice, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas- the list is endless! I also happened to have a whole lot of fun jumping in piles of leaves after Petey raked them all up. Don’t tell!

I also happen to love the layering potential when it comes to cozy cool weather clothing. Bonbon has this adorable plaid skirt for their Arcade gacha, which happens to pair perfectly with the new boots from Decoy.

Glam Affair also has a great new skin out for Powder Pack. I don’t subscribe to this one, but this skin is definitely worth giving it a chance. Eloise has elegant, soft brows and the contouring option on the HUD really highlights her features. I did stray from my matching lipsticks and instead went with the Crush set from League, which adds a bold pop of color.

Island Vibes

I love living in Florida. Even though I was born and mostly raised up North, I’ve since been converted to a hot weather and sunshine kind of girl. Give me the beach and laid back lifestyle over the snowy city any day. Even when it comes time for a vacation, I’d still rather go somewhere warm and tropical, preferably an island- as opposed to luxury cities like Paris or skiing in Colorado. What is your favorite vacation spot?

Bright and tropical colors are also my thing. I wear black from time to time, or rich jewel-toned colors- but even in my RL, I am in love with bright colors and tropical or floral prints. Tank tops, flip flops- you name it.

I don’t typically wear a lot of orange or pink in SL, but I do enjoy the combination of these colors, especially when I am in a tropical mood. When I saw this shirt from Boys to the Bone at last months round of Equal10, it stuck in my mind and so when I picked up these new releases from Blueberry, I ran straight to the BTTB mainstore to make a match. My piled high updo from Tableau Vivant (have you checked out their new hairbases yet?) reminds me that I still have a few more days of my vacation left to enjoy.

Last but not least, Hello Dave has some bright, Summery nail polish for the new group gift. I totally owe it to my girl Naughty for turning me on to Maia’s designs. I’ve been in love ever since. I love you, girl! <3

Taking Chances

Maitreya has some new releases and no one creates for a mesh body the way Onyx creates for Lara. So naturally, these hipster panties and tanks are top of the line in quality and the perfect fit. I even love the little sayings on the back of the panties. Hehe.

Izzie Button has also released an update for her ‘Thigh High Knit Socks’ for both Maitreya and Belleza Mesh Bodies and for one week (until September 28th,) you can get it free at the mainstore. Autumn Leaves are Falling

Autumn is here! Or, nearly here if you live in the South- but nevertheless, it’s here! The September round of the Arcade marks the third anniversary of an amazing event and having been a loyal visitor to each round so far, I am so excited to see how well it’s done over the years. With the fall season kicking in, this round of the event brings with it lots of warm and inviting autumn inspired treats. Can you say #pumpkinspiceeverything? I love it!

There is something about editorial hair that I can’t get enough of. Though they’re not pieces you’ll probably wear on a regular basis, every photographer should always keep a few of them on hand and the new set from Tableau Vivant for this round feature some of the best ‘in motion’ styles I’ve seen in a while. On top of that, Lode always has some great accessories, too. Being a fan of anything that I can plop on my head to tie an outfit together made this autumn headpiece the perfect addition to to my new dress by Ricielli from Tres Chic.

Summer Punch

The newest round of Collabor88 features a pallete of bright colors that are perfect for Summer. I’m wearing these adorable shorts and knotted tank from Tee*fy, as well as this windswept styled hair by Tableau Vivant for Kustom9.

I stopped by Celebrities Bay for this shot because of the fun tropical atmosphere of the sim. It’s a great place for pictures and hanging out, as well as a venue to great concerts and tributes bands.

Fresh for Summer

So, even though I’ve been out with an awful cold or some such thing for a few days now, my blogging heart was having some majoy shopping withdrawals. So, I sneaked on in and managed to grab a few great new pieces from the Kustom9 and Shiny Shabby events for one of my favorite, and classic boho inspired looks.

This new hair from Tableau Vivant is also right up my alley, with long, luscious locks in a flowing style. The original version comes with a texture changeable scarf, but I managed to modify it in exchange for a pretty flower crown instead.

The weather here has been insane, already in the 90s! I hope the rest of you are as ready for summer!
